About SnapFetch

SnapFetch is a set of free file tools: converters for PDF, image and Office formats, visual editors for cropping, resizing and rearranging pages, and a downloader for video and audio links. No account, no watermarks, and no ads pretending to be download buttons.

Why it exists

Most conversion and downloader sites make the same trade: you get a working tool, and in exchange you wade through popups, redirect scams and fake download buttons to reach it. Several of them also keep your file, or reserve the right to. SnapFetch is an attempt at the other trade - a clean tool, with the data handling written down and kept to.

It started as a converter (PDF, image, Word) and grew a video downloader afterwards. Both live under one roof but carry very different risk profiles, which is why one of them is sometimes switched off and the other never is.

How your files are handled

Uploaded files are written to temporary storage, converted, and permanently deleted an hour later by a cleanup job that runs every minute. That covers both what you uploaded and what came out. Nobody opens, reviews or reuses your files - they are processed automatically and then they are gone.

Media downloads never touch our disks at all in the standard path: the file is streamed from the source straight through to your browser. Trimming a clip and extracting MP3 audio are the two exceptions, because both have to process the file server-side, and those follow the same one-hour deletion rule.

We use Google Analytics to count page views and see which tools get used. It never receives your filenames, your file contents, or the links you paste - only which page you were on. There are no advertising cookies, no pixels and no session recorders. What we tell you up front

Every tool page carries a Specifications and limits section with the real numbers - file size caps, page caps, accepted formats - and a Troubleshooting section listing that conversion's actual failure modes. Those pages say plainly when something will not work: that PDF to Word has no OCR and cannot read scans, that JPG output cannot keep transparency, that HTML to PDF does not execute JavaScript.

That is deliberate. A converter that promises everything and quietly produces a broken file wastes more of your time than one that tells you the limit before you upload.

About the downloader

The media downloaders depend on platforms that actively work to block this kind of tool. When a platform changes how its media is served, the choice is to disable that downloader or serve broken results, and we disable it. YouTube support in particular is off by default for this reason.
