Terms of Service

SnapFetch is a free set of file tools with no account and no payment. These terms cover what you can expect from us and what we expect from you. Using the site means you accept them.

Your files stay yours

We claim no ownership of anything you upload or produce here, and no licence to use it. You keep every right you had before. We process your file to perform the conversion you asked for and delete it after 1 hour, as described in our privacy policy.

What you may upload

You may upload files you own or have the right to process. You may not use SnapFetch to handle material that is illegal to possess or distribute, that infringes someone else's copyright, or that contains malware.

For the media downloader specifically: download only content you have the right to save. That covers your own uploads, material released under a permissive licence, and anything the rights holder has allowed you to keep. Whether a particular download is permitted is your responsibility, and platform terms of service are between you and that platform.

Usage limits

The tools are rate limited per IP address so they stay free and available. Do not try to evade those limits, script bulk usage against the site, or otherwise degrade it for other people. We may block traffic that does.

File size and page limits are published on each tool page under Specifications and limits. They exist to keep conversions fast and reliable, not to upsell you - there is nothing to upsell.

Availability

The service is provided as-is, with no uptime guarantee. Individual tools can be switched off temporarily - the media downloaders in particular, because the platforms they read from change how extraction works and we would rather disable a tool than serve broken results.

No warranty

Conversion is imperfect by nature. Layout can shift, formatting can approximate, and some files will not convert cleanly at all. Check the output before relying on it, and keep your original - every tool page documents the known limits for that conversion.

To the extent the law allows, SnapFetch is provided without warranties of any kind and we are not liable for loss arising from use of the service, including lost or corrupted files. Keep a copy of anything that matters. Since files are deleted after 1 hour, we cannot restore anything for you.

Changes

These terms can change; the date at the top will change with them. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
