When to use Trim Video

For cutting one moment out of a longer recording before you send it - the relevant thirty seconds of a screen capture, a clip from a long phone video, the part of a meeting recording someone actually needs. You set the range on a visual timeline, so you can see where the cut lands rather than typing timestamps blind.

Troubleshooting

The video is rejected

Check both the format and the size: only MP4, MOV, M4V, WebM, MKV and AVI are accepted, up to 100 MB.

The cut is a fraction of a second off

Cuts land on the nearest keyframe, so the start can shift slightly on heavily compressed video.

You get a rate-limit message

Uploads are capped at 20 per hour per IP address, with 3 running at once. Wait for the hour to roll over, or let the running jobs finish.
