When to use the Facebook downloader
For saving a public Facebook video or Reel - your own posts, or content you have permission to reuse - without installing anything. Public visibility is the requirement: videos inside private groups or on restricted profiles cannot be reached. Facebook uses several URL shapes, so link directly to the video itself rather than to a feed or profile.

Troubleshooting
A valid-looking link is rejected
Facebook has several URL formats. Copy the link from the video's own page, not from a feed, a share dialog or a profile.
The video is in a group you belong to and will not download
Group content requires a login. Only publicly viewable videos work.
You get a rate-limit message
Uploads are capped at 20 per hour per IP address, with 3 running at once. Wait for the hour to roll over, or let the running jobs finish.
