When to use Split PDF

Use it to pull a few pages out of a long document, or to break a bundle back into its parts - separating each invoice from a monthly batch, or splitting a scanned stack into one file per form. You group pages visually, so one pass can produce several PDFs at once rather than repeating an extract for each.

Troubleshooting

Thumbnails do not appear

Thumbnails render in your browser. A locked PDF cannot be previewed - unlock it first.

You only need one range, not several files

Extract PDF Pages is the simpler tool for that - it produces a single PDF from the pages you pick.

The upload is rejected before anything happens

The file is over the 20 MB cap. Compress it first, or split a long PDF into smaller files and process them separately.
