When to use Watermark PDF
For marking a document's status or ownership so it survives being forwarded, printed or screenshotted - drafts that should not be mistaken for final, or a file you are sharing but do not want reused. A watermark deters casual misuse; it is not security. If the content must stay unreadable without permission, use Protect PDF.

Troubleshooting
The watermark is hard to read over dense pages
Shorter text reads better. A single word like DRAFT or CONFIDENTIAL is far clearer than a sentence.
You need to remove a watermark later
Not possible - it is part of the page content now. Always keep the unwatermarked original.
The upload is rejected before anything happens
The file is over the 20 MB cap. Compress it first, or split a long PDF into smaller files and process them separately.
